The story of Amin from Calcutta

History knows many examples of millionaires and successful businessmen who literally lifted themselves out of poverty. The phrase “rags to riches” sounds like a cliché, but it’s a perfect description of the thorny path of many famous entrepreneurs.

Generally, all of these stories are united by one circumstance: all of these people experienced a pivotal moment in their lives when they took a risk and made the fateful decision to try something new and change their lives.

Today we are going to tell a similar story of a young man named Amin.

Amin was born and raised in the city of Calcutta, located in the Ganges delta in eastern India. This region is plagued with problems, unemployment is at an all time high and the average salary rarely exceeds 100 to 120 dollars, just above the Indian minimum wage of 93 dollars. Amin’s father was a carpenter and by the way worked a lot in several furniture workshops at the same time, which allowed his family to survive at least in one way or another. Literally survive, because even working hard and hard for his father, it was rarely possible to earn more than $200 a month. This money was barely enough for the family to buy food and clothes. Witnessing all of this, Amin really wanted to help his parents out of poverty. He wanted to work and help his father, but his father wanted Amin to continue to attend school and study well. “Only education can give you a chance for a new, better life,” her father said.

Amin also understood this, as he admitted the fact that his native Calcutta is not just a ghetto where he and his family live. Calcutta is also a city of opportunities, with nearly 5 million inhabitants, not to mention the many tourists who flood the city en masse. Amin liked to attend book fairs, which were often held in Calcutta. Unfortunately, he had no money to buy books, so he collected all the free booklets and pamphlets given out by the promoters and eagerly read whatever he could get. Amin has always been interested in the world of business, investment and finance, described in brochures. It was not at all like the reality he lived in. And one might even think that this does not happen and these are all the fantasies of the authors, if it were not for the well-dressed people in expensive suits and expensive cars, whom he sometimes met in town. Amin really wanted to become one of them, but he still didn’t know how to carry out his plans.

When Amin graduated from high school, his parents gave him a gift he couldn’t even dream of – a smartphone. It was the most primitive, cheap, but new. Now Amin could look for hotspots in the city with free Wi-Fi to surf the internet and read books, to learn and grow. For Amin, it was like a breath of fresh air – after all, he was wholeheartedly drawn to education and self-development!

It should be noted that Amin himself dreamed of a smartphone and secretly saved money to buy a used phone, and he even managed to raise up to 20 dollars.

Now Amin had both a smartphone and $20, and that changed a lot and opened up whole new horizons of possibilities. Amin recalls reading an article posted on a business and investment website, telling about the launch of the investment and education platform EVERCLUB. Even then, Amin thought, “What a great combination: investment and education, two of my hobbies in one place.”

On the EVERCLUB platform website, Amin saw the statement: “To get started, it is enough to have only 20 dollars.”

This is my destiny, thought Amin. Indeed, it was the exact amount of money he had: not a penny more, not a penny less.

Amin signed up and purchased his first platform. Like a sponge, he greedily absorbed all the educational material provided there. Amin shared his knowledge with friends and acquaintances, talked about the income opportunities the platform opens up for its users. This sincere and genuine fire that burned in his eyes managed to ignite the flames of many other people who also became the users of the platform later on. Amin was increasingly seen at events dedicated to investment and finance, he made many new acquaintances. People in expensive costumes no longer seemed to him inaccessible characters from films – they were part of his everyday life. In just a few months, Amin has gone from a shy ghetto youth to a seasoned investor in the city. For six months, Amin changed completely, changed the style of dress, the hairstyle, the way of speaking and even the gait. The only thing left of the old Amin was honesty, decency and an inalienable thirst for knowledge and self-development.

Having earned his first capital, Amin opened his own business for the production and sale of mahogany furniture. And he appointed a top professional – his father – to lead the production. Thus, he realized two dreams at once: his own and his father’s. Today, chairs and tables, sofas and cabinets handcrafted by Amin Furniture Factory can be found in many countries around the world.

Recently, during the opening of an elite furniture showroom in London, among vases, paintings, souvenirs and various collectibles, one could see furniture produced by the Amin’s factory. And it’s hard to believe that not so long ago this whole story started with $20 and the purchase of the first EVERCLUB platform.

“A beautiful fairy tale” – some will say dreamily… “It doesn’t happen that way” – others will echo them with uncertainty… to which Amin’s many relatives and friends will reply with confidence: “The dreams come true with EVERCLUB!”.
