During the ceremony, the Director of Public Relations of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Eng Farhoud Hadi al-Hajri, highlighted the importance of the book and its role in environmental awareness and information of the company on Qatar’s efforts to preserve the environment and ensure its sustainability in line with Qatar’s national vision.
He pointed out that the participation of the two ministries in the book fair is part of their community outreach and communication efforts by exhibiting their various books, literature and scientific publications, as well as showcasing their achievements and the results of their work via the presentation of documentary films and introductory publications.
Al-Mutawa underlined the high importance given to ecotourism in the country, adding that the book also reviews sports tourism, which is also experiencing a boom due to the 2022 World Cup.
Furthermore, the author made it clear that the tourism industry is witnessing tangible and rapid development as the state has developed a comprehensive tourism plan to keep pace with the economic revival and focus on building Qatar. as a global tourist destination.
The event witnessed fruitful discussions on many issues and problems related to the environment and tourism and their relationship to the economic development and urban renaissance of Qatar.
